Have you ever been in a season of waiting or expecting, but with no idea of when? Perhaps that is where you find yourself today. You are waiting for promotion, but all you encounter are problems and more problems. Everyone else seems up and running, but it seems that you have flat-lined and bottomed out. All your friends and peers are having success stories and the more they talk, the more anxiety you feel. the more you hear, the more frustration, depression, and even anger you direct towards God, because He has been slow in coming through and while others are just passing you by as if you are being held on pause. What’s up with that?

We have a tendency to see the dark side of things. Like Peter, we look at the waves. Like David, we think, “Saul is going to kill me if God doesn’t do something quick.” Like Joseph, we know that the dream still exists, but we wonder and are sometimes confused about the pit and everything else that points away from it?

But have you stop to consider that the reason for the season you are experiencing is that Jesus is at work clearing the path for you to take off? That He is still standing there waiting for you to change your focus and remember His call to come? That He is waiting for you to come to the realization that though you have toiled all night and caught nothing, that the morning is about to break and change the outcome?

Waiting is seasonal. Weeping is seasonal. Watching is seasonal. There is a time and season for everything. He is keeping watch on the shore, while the catch is being gathered to the right side, at just the right time. When the season is the reason, you wait with anticipation and expectation. Jesus never disappoints.

Blessings!
