What's your position? Are you a son living like a slave? Are you a daughter living like you don’t belong? Or do you know that as a son or daughter, you have an inheritance that you can draw from? What loving Father doesn’t care about the needs of his children? What loving father, doesn’t give what has already been set aside for his children? God provides us with food, clothing, shelter, etc., but that's not all he is willing and longing to give; and he doesn’t get in the way of our asking for the things that will allow us to reflect that we belong to Him. He desires and longs to do more for us; more than we can ever imagine. He longs for us to draw near to Him, so that we can understand His heart for us.

Have you paused to pray? Have you stopped to ask? The prodigal’s (Luke 15:11-32) brother sat in the house, but never asked, yet was jealous and unhappy when the prodigal returned home and was treated like a son and not as a slave. What about you, are you taunting a prodigal attitude of heart, while living under the Father’s love, grace, and mercy? Brother, sister, it’s time to begin living like you belong. The Father loves you as well. He desires for you to trust His heart enough to ask and believe that He has your best interest in mind.

Blessings!
