In addition to being a pastor, more recently, I also worked a secular job. In prior years, I had wondered how I would make it if the job that I had for years ended. It did in October of last year. But in that moment, I felt at peace, and even more at peace about what I was going to do going forward. I knew that the salary would not be replaced, and with the economy not at its best, I still believed that God is always ahead of us.

One thing I have learned and believe: God is not broke. He owns everything. God is more than enough and he has more than enough. He could speak a word that could change everything in one moment. And his resources are endless.

So, when I read, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19). I believed it. When I read that “God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Cor. 9:8 NIV). I believed it, and I stand on it.

What do you believe? Do you believe or not believe that heaven holds the answers for your needs – whatever they are? God is not limited to only certain provisions. He owns and do have the right to everything. Trust him to meet your needs. He won’t let you down.

Blessings,

Pastor Cynthia
