If you want to be a person of excellence, it begins with your thoughts. Your thinking affects your actions and your life. If you want to be a person of excellence, then your thoughts must gravitate towards that which promotes excellence. The Apostle Paul tells us what constitutes excellent thoughts. In Philippians 4:8, he says; "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

"If your thoughts are trending in the direction of Paul's admonition, then you are on the path to excellence and if they are trending negative thoughts, ask God to give you a new way of thinking and a new perspective on life. If excellence is the new way of life you desire, think about what you think about. A change in life demands that you change your way of thinking.
